Welcome to my professional accounting, bookkeeping, and consulting services page! I am Teresa Brito, and I bring a unique blend of experience and expertise to the table, rooted in a family history of successful small business ownership and farming. As a lifelong resident of Indiana, I have cultivated a deep understanding of the local business landscape.
I hold an Accounting degree from the International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and have gained hands-on training and experience in both for-profit and nonprofit accounting. My qualifications include being an Indiana Notary Public, a Licensed Indiana Real Estate Broker (Referral Status), and an Independent Associate for LegalShield/IDShield.
With over 20 years of experience in cost accounting, estimating, billing, and profit & loss reporting, I have honed my skills in budgeted hourly rate development and analysis, sales, marketing, and innovative problem-solving. My background includes significant roles at a local multi-million dollar manufacturing and service company, where I served as an Administrative Assistant/Supervisor.
Additionally, I have several years of experience navigating the permitting and inspection processes, assisting contractors, developers, property owners, and small businesses. My work as an Accounting Assistant for an international nonprofit Christian organization has further enriched my expertise in QuickBooks and Excel spreadsheets, where I managed accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end and year-end journal entries, inventory management, credit card and bank statement reconciliations, payroll assistance, stewardship/housing support, and various administrative accounting duties.
Outside of my professional life, I am an active member of my local church and enjoy spending quality time with my family. My hobbies include hiking nature trails, biking, crafts, cooking, boating, gardening, and embracing a healthy lifestyle. I cherish moments spent at the lake and the joys of country living.
